Surface In-Situ Networks
MDEQ’s purpose was to characterize air quality for concentrations of common hazardous air pollutant emissions in areas of more likely incidence of elevated levels. The data produced from this effort provides a favorable picture of air quality for the pollutants and areas monitored, indicating no problem or troublesome conditions. While the monitoring activity has ended, further study and planning continue toward an overall strategy and comprehensive plan for evaluating and addressing any ambient air quality concerns for toxic or hazardous air pollutant emission conditions.
