Surface In-Situ Networks
A network of 20 automated agricultural weather stations in eastern Montana. The network collects and telemeters, by satellite, the weather parameters required to model crop consumptive water use (evapotranspiration). Data is transmitted once every 4 hours (some stations have been upgraded to once every hour) and hour and is available on the internet within minutes of receipt.
