Surface In-Situ Networks
GLEES is a high elevation alpine/subalpine site with a deep winter snowpack, a harsh climate for vegetation, exposed and slow-weathering bedrock, shallow young soils having low base saturation, and lakes extremely sensitive to air pollution.
