NCAR O2 / CO2 Calibration Facility
STATUS
Operational
AVAILABILITY
This facility is available for calibration of cylinders used in NCAR-supported field campaigns. Intercomparison exercises are welcome.
REQUEST PROCEDURE
Contact PI Britt Stephens to discuss calibration needs or intercomparison projects.
Calibration Facilities
Designed to propagate the WMO CO2 scale maintained by NOAA ESRL and O2 and CO2 scales maintained by the Scripps O2 Laboratory. Consists of a Siemens Ultramat 6F CO2 instrument and a custom VUV O2 instrument interfaced with automated valves to an insulated enclosure storing up to 25 cylinders horizontally.
