Completed First Shipboard Field Programs
AVAILABILITY
Completed first shipboard deployments during VOCALS 2008 and WHOTS 2009. Currently undergoing repackaging for use on a NOAA P3 aircraft for future work on hurricane sea spray studies. Next planned deployment May 2010.
Surface Remote
Millimeter Cloud Radar. W-band, 94 GHz Doppler radar. Measures the Doppler spectrum and its moments in co- and cross-polarization modes. Designed for shipboard use and has a newly developed motion stabilized platform for vertical cloud profiling.
