Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder - (ATMS) ATMS is being developed by NASA with CrIS. It will perform global observations of temperature and moisture profiles at high temporal resolution (~ daily). The purpose of ATMS is to collect microwave radiance data that when combined with the CrIS data will permit the calculation of atmospheric temperature and water vapor profiles.
